Erin Kelly

Hello! My name is Erin Kelly, and I graduated from Chaminade University of Honolulu with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Environmental and Interior Design. I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts. 

 

I initially pursued a pre-med path at Auburn University, but after two years, I realized it wasn’t the right fit. I took time to reflect and decided to embrace my creative side. That eventually led me to Chaminade.

 

Throughout my studies, I worked on diverse projects across multiple fields of interior design. The program challenged me to think outside the box and develop design solutions that best serve the client. My internships with both a large design-build firm and a small, one-woman LLC gave me hands-on experience in commercial and residential design. Additionally, my work includes projects in universal and cultural design, further broadening my perspective and approach.

 

These experiences have shaped my approach to design, reinforcing the importance of creativity, functionality, and cultural awareness in every project. I am passionate about creating spaces that not only meet practical needs but also enhance the well-being of those who use them. As I continue my journey in the design industry, I look forward to applying my skills, learning from new challenges, and contributing to meaningful, thoughtful design solutions.
